Witness statement name:
Kevin, neighbour walking dog

Witness statement:
I was out walking my dog Rufus here when I was passing by Jerome's place. I didn't notice him laying in the grass at first. It wasn't until Rufus started aggressively tugging on the leash in his direction that I finally saw his boots. I just thought Rufus wanted to go say hi to Jerome, they got along so well.

I ran up to see if he was alright, maybe he fell and hurt his back, but when I knelt down beside him he was very still and not moving. I called his name and placed my ear to his mouth but felt no breath. It was then that I used my cell to call 9-1-1. I also went to their door and knocked and called for his wife Marie. She was inside making lunch and tea. She was so distraught when I told her Jerome was badly hurt out front. I insisted she stay inside until help arrived but she refused and ran to his side.

It was about that time that you guys and the EMS arrived.
