Police Report

Case No.: 219/14
Reporting Officer: A. Andersen
Incident: 534 Mischief (property damage)
Date: March 11, 2014
Details of Event

Called to a 360 at 10:30:02 p.m. EST. Homeowner came home to find garage door broken in and several tools missing. We patrolled nearby streets and came upon 5 adolescents who appeared to be hanging out on a padmount transformer. Upon approach we could observe that 2 of the male individuals looked to be attempting to break the lock securing the doors with an instrument. We approached the group of 5 adolescents, informing them to cease their actions and move away from the transformer to a safe distance.

Partner and I split the adolescents into two smaller, controllable groups and radioed for assistance. We collected the individuals names, the stolen items and proceeded to educate the group with a warning on the dangers of padmount transformers. We delivered the 3 male adolescents to their home and car 4537 delivered the 2 female adolescents home safely. All 5 adolescents have been charged with public mischief.
